Originally from Paris, Sublime arrived in Japan some 30 years ago. Graduated in FLE, specialized in phonetics, she uses her artistic experience and skills in music, singing, theater to create her method on how to pronounce French properly. This very effective method drew the attention of the French program to the NHK educational channel, where she explained it between 2013 and 2014 for a whole season.
She also performs on stage as a singer. In 2010, with Jun Miyake, she released an album of original songs “Ludic” in Japan, Germany, and France.
She runs classes in NHK cultural centers, the French Institutes of Tokyo and Yokohama, and also offers group and private lessons in her salon in Sendagaya.
As a singer and actress, she has developed a unique and very effective method to pronounce French: by imagining shapes in the mouth for each sound, you will be able to pronounce the vowels of the French language as close as possible to their real pronunciation, and without the help of katakana!
